Cutting Room Floor – Thailand

I love the quirky and curious things you encounter when traveling.  Some of my favorite movies or online slideshows to watch are the behind-the-scenes or the ‘making of’ segments.

So my newest blog category is going to be the photos that didn’t make it into the “real” posts. The ones that didn’t really help tell the story, but I like them anyway. Or really, I have no problem laughing at myself, so I’ll put the outtakes here too.

Amazing, crazy public sculpture piece at the Siam Paragon Mall. All of the sculptures were created from found objects- a sheep's curly hair was made of old telephone cords. This deer was made of straws! I was an art major in college, so I LOVE unique and somewhat obsessive sculpture.

This deer's body is made up of thousands of straws cut into quarter inch pieces. That's some serious commitment.
